The biggest extravaganza in sports entertainment is going to be stupendous this year!
WWE WrestleMania 38 is set to emanate from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. And by the looks of the confirmed match card, Vince McMahon’s wrestling empire is going all-in on celebrity guests for its biggest bouts. Logan Paul, Johnny Knoxville, and Pat McAfee are all on deck to compete on the largest stage in all of professional wrestling.
Besides all those marquee appearances, the WWE Universe is due for what the company is billing as the most important matchup in WrestleMania history – a Winner Takes All Unification match between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Before WrestleMania 38 comes our way on April 2-3, let’s break down each and every match that’s been announced for WWE’s premier annual event.

Preview & Predictions: Seth Rollins was down extra bad before this match got announced. He took massive L’s to AJ Styles and Kevin Owens that previously kept him from performing on the big WrestleMania stage this year. When all hope seemed lost, Vince McMahon came out of the clear blue to bless Rollins with a place on the show’s Saturday night card. And now there’s a whole bunch of newfound excitement surrounding who could possibly be his mystery opponent.
C’mon now, y’all! You and certainly I have a good idea of who that individual will be. The former EVP of All Elite Wrestling, the “Son of a Son of a Plumber,” and the “American Nightmare” has been rumored to be returning to WWE for a good while now. And it’s clear as day that he’s the man that’s going to re-debut in WWE in the most impactful way possible – by taking on Rollins at ‘Mania and putting on a banger of a match! I’m banking on Cody Rhodes emerging as the victor of this match in his big return to the “Land of McMahon.”

Preview & Predictions: So now that the Viking Raiders have been left in the rearview mirror of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, a new set of contenders has arisen. And they come in the form of the incredibly eccentric and always bombastic duo of Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs. I wasn’t expecting this match to be a thing, but I’m not complaining now that it’s been booked.
Jimmy and Jey Uso have been the reigning and defending tag team titleholders since July 18, 2021. And I just don’t think their title run is going to conclude here. Nakamura and his guitar shredding buddy Boogs just come off as “random challengers of the month” that are merely being put in place to give the champs another big win on PPV. The “Uso Penitentiary” is gonna add some new names to its list of unfortunate victims.

<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iQiG7GCBDmE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hed</code>
Preview & Predictions: Happy Corbin? Really? I was hoping Drew McIntyre would get someone on his level as a WrestleMania opponent this year (I would have loved to watch McIntyre and Cesaro brutalize each other, but the “Swiss Superman” no longer calls WWE home). Even a match against Ridge Holland or Shinsuke Nakamura would have been better preferred, in my opinion.
Anyways, McIntyre is going up against Happy Corbin since he’s already run through his accomplice Madcap Moss. And I have to admit – WWE has done a bang-up job building up Corbin. Corbin’s End of Days finisher has never been kicked out of, plus he’s gone on quite the undefeated streak lately. But I think that streak is going to come to an end on the WrestleMania stage – McIntyre is going to Claymore Kick a big loss onto Corbin’s win-loss record.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/d83r3AofcmU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedRey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio vs. The Miz and Logan Paul</code>
Preview & Predictions: Just one year after taking a Stunner from Kevin Owens at last year’s WrestleMania, Logan Paul is back to do something even bigger at this year’s WrestleMania. The Miz has clearly gotten tired of getting embarrassed by Rey and Dominik Mysterio, so he’s decided to link up with one of his Hollywood homies to even the odds. That isn’t exactly the wisest choice, but I’m guessing The Miz doesn’t have as many reliable Tinseltown contacts as he thinks he does.
Having Logan Paul on The Miz’s side isn’t gonna increase his chances of finally overcoming the Mysterio’s whatsoever. I’m fully convinced that Paul will take one dropkick to the face, throw his hands up in the air, and say “SCREW THIS!” as he leaves his partner behind. And as expected, The Miz will succumb to a combined 619 and top rope splash from either one of the Mysterio’s that will result in yet another major loss for him.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XMGUOK6qDSM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedBecky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair (WWE Raw Women's Championship)</code>
Preview & Predictions: I’m still miffed about the way WWE booked Bianca Belair to lose at last year’s SummerSlam! As SmackDown Women’s Champion, “The EST” was finally hitting her groove and set to solidify herself as one of the best titleholders in the company. Then Becky Lynch shocked the world by making her grand return, beating her with one move in seconds, and walking away with the title without even breaking a sweat.
Now is clearly the perfect opportunity to right that avoidable wrong, I say! Belair is being set up for a redemption ending right here that I just know will come to fruition. I’m sure this match will be a banger (I’m betting it won’t be on par with Belair’s last WrestleMania match with Sasha Banks, though!). I’m betting the house on Belair getting the big win here, finally getting her hands on the Raw Women’s Championship, and going on a long run as the top woman on the Raw roster.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/uobf0Ag3tFI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedCharlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey (WWE SmackDown Women's Championship)</code>
Preview & Predictions: Ronda Rousey is back full-time! And as soon as she popped back up, Rousey ended up winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match and getting herself a Smackdown Women’s Championship match against the reigning Queen of the Blue Brand. While the build for this match has left me feeling cold, I know deep down in my heart that this match will be amazing. You guys remember their match from Survivor Series 2018, right? Exactly!
Rousey didn’t just come back, win the Royal Rumble, and go all the way to WrestleMania just to lose. Charlotte Flair is gonna give her the fight of her life, but it’s clear as day that she’s set to relinquish her stranglehold on the SmackDown Women’s Championship here. Rousey is gonna slap on that armbar and force Charlotte to tap right before our very eyes.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lDaVPBtDAVg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedKing Woods and Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland</code>
Preview & Predictions: Poor Big E. This match was clearly supposed to be a six-man tag that also threw him and Butch into the mix. But after suffering a nasty suplex outside the ring that broke his neck, Big E’s been forced to take a break from the road and recuperate at home. Now that he’s been taken off of TV, this six-man tag has been changed into a normal tag that pits WWE’s reigning King of the Ring and his best buddy against Sheamus & his fellow countryman Ridge Holland.
If this was still booked as a six-man, I would have run with The New Day for the win here. But now that Big E’s out of the current picture, I think this feud will be prolonged into the summer via a heel victory here. Sheamus and Ridge will prevail with the aid of their fellow bruiser Butch, which will keep this beef alive for the next couple of months as Woods and Kofi Kingston keep fighting to gain the upper hand over their current rivals. And once Big E finally returns, this feud will kick into its final stages.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lQ3TN9Z5Qe0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedEdge vs. AJ Styles</code>
Preview & Predictions: WE’VE ENTERED DREAM MATCH TERRITORY HERE! Ever since I saw Edge Spear the hell outta AJ Styles during the 2020 Royal Rumble match, everyone and their grandmother called for them to throw down in a singles match. It took two years to finally get it, but I’m overjoyed at the fact that it’s finally going down. Edge added a lot more heat to this feud by brutalizing the “Phenomenal One” with Con-Chair-To’s, which leads me to believe that both men are switching their babyface/heel roles for this one.
I’ve always preferred watching Edge go insane as a heel, while babyface Styles in a vibe I can never get tired of. And with both men still at the top of their game, I’m placing all my bets on this war getting Match of the Year consideration once it wraps up. Edge has been won the majority of his matches since coming back full-time, which has built up his legendary status even more than before. But I think Styles is being set up for big things post-WrestleMania this year.
Reigns is gonna need a top contender to take on following this show and Styles seems like the perfect candidate for this highly lauded position. Styles will prevail over the “Rated R Superstar” here in the first of many matches between the two during the next few spring months after he steps up to the “Tribal Chief.”
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Q6bChPv5k3c" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedBobby Lashley vs. Omos</code>
Preview & Predictions: Man, how far the “All Mighty” have fallen. Bobby Lashley had a super disappointing match with Brock Lesnar back at the Royal Rumble, won the WWE Championship in the cheapest way possible, and dropped the belt a mere month later at Elimination Chamber right back to Brock without even being in the match due to injury. Now that he’s back, he’s been relegated to a random filler match with Omos that I’m sure will be a slow-paced eyesore.
The Omos train has been rolling along without any worthy opposition to truly test his overwhelming power and endurance. And I get the feeling that his reign of big-man dominance will keep on going strong as he gets his biggest victory to date over Lashley. Omos is clearly being propped up so he can be the challenger of the month for the top championship at one of the B-tier “premiere events” later this summer. With this big win over the former WWE Champion, the big guy will emerge as an even more legit title contender.

<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jCRHSXZKtyA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></code>
Preview & Predictions: All the rumors were pointing to Vincent Kennedy McMahon being the one to take on Pat McAfee at WrestleMania. I’m so glad that nightmare scenario didn’t come true, though! Seeing as how Mr. McMahon’s WrestleMania 26 match against Bret Hart was so terrible, I’m pretty sure him returning to the ring at an even older age would have been a trainwreck.
It makes all the sense in the world for McMahon’s latest understudy to fight in his place instead. The rising star known as Austin Theory is someone that I’ve been fanboying over ever since I watched his rise to greatness in the EVOLVE promotion. And after witnessing McAfee work his magic against Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: XXX, I’m actually looking forward to how this match will unfold. WWE is pushing Theory extra hard as evidenced by his new role alongside McMahon. His mega push will continue here with a decisive win against McAfee.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rIQwo8YgSHc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedJohnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn (Anything Goes Match)</code>
Preview & Predictions: Thank God Ricochet captured the Intercontinental Championship before this match went down! Could you imagine if Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame actually competed in a match for one of the most legendary titles in wrestling history? Now granted, the IC title doesn’t really mean much these days. But it still would have been really strange to watch Knoxville fight for the same belt that legends like “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Bret “Hitman” Hart, and the “Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels valiantly fought for.
Knoxville has been getting on Sami Zayn’s last nerves for the longest time now and vice versa. So much so that Zayn has requested that this match falls under Anything Goes rules. I love me some Zayn, but I think WWE is looking to make mainstream headlines at his expense here. Knoxville is gonna blow everyone’s minds when he employs the aid of his fellow Jackass brethren to knock out Zayn for the win!

<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1uk1tC9BrJk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hed</code>
Preview & Predictions: Does the Women’s Tag Team Championship even mean much these days? I had a hard time recalling who were the actual champs before I looked this match up. While it’s cool to see Queen Zelina, Carmella, and Liv Morgan get a WrestleMania payday here, it’s kinda disappointing seeing Sasha Banks and Naomi end up being booked here. If Ronda Rousey didn’t come back, I’m quite sure Banks would have been the one facing Charlotte Flair for the title. And I just know Naomi would have faced Sonya Deville in a definitive feud ender on the WrestleMania stage.
Plus I would have loved to have seen Rhea Ripley in a prominent singles position on the card for a major women’s championship, but them’s the breaks. I’m not too terribly excited about Natalya and Shanya Baszler being a part of this match, to be honest. Anyways – you know the vibes here, folks! The latest mega team to randomly be put together here is clearly gonna win the titles. The end result is clear as day to me and everyone else reading this. Banks and Naomi are leaving WrestleMania with the Women’s Tag Team titles and I’m sure they’re not gonna relinquish them for a very long time.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/i3nSRSyA9kk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedRK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) (c) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) (Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship)</code>
Preview & Predictions: Man, you just gotta feel for Alpha Academy. They won the Raw Tag Team straps this past January by beating RK-Bro. And two months later, they dropped them right back to Randy Orton and Riddle. But at least they’re getting the opportunity to regain the straps now that they’ve been entered into this Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
You know what? I’m gonna go out on a limb here and pick Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford as the winners here. And why, you ask? I foresee WWE deciding it’s time to get the wheels turning on that eventual RK-Bro breakup angle. A mishap of some sort will occur on Riddle’s behalf and cost his team the titles here, which will irk Orton and start pushing him right back towards the dark side. You heard it here first, folks! The Street Profits are getting a major WrestleMania moment here at the expense of RK-Bro.
<code><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UoRn7TUbvnk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>","hedBrock Lesnar (WWE Champion) vs. Roman Reigns (Universal Champion) (Winner Takes All Match to Unify the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship)</code>
Preview & Predictions: Yep, we’re running this one back once again! Now I gotta admit – the one match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns that I still champion to this day is the very first one they had at WrestleMania 31. Ever since then, both men haven’t had the greatest of matches against each other. But with the stakes being higher than usual for this rematch, I’m guessing Lesnar and Reigns will do everything in their power to surpass the quality of that aforementioned bout here.
Reigns has been running roughshod over everyone as the WWE Universal Champion since August 30, 2020, which is pretty impressive. Lesnar has been his biggest opposition to date. And now that “The Beast” is WWE Champion, the “Tribal Chief” surely has his work cut out for him. But I’m gonna go out on a limb here and pick Reigns as the ultimate victor here. Reigns has been enjoying a legendary title reign that I just can’t see ending at the hands of Lesnar here.
Reigns is emerging from WrestleMania 38 as the most important champion in WWE history and will dominate both main WWE brands soon after.
