‘Becoming Steve Jobs’ Is a Must-Read for Entrepreneurs

“Above all, saying no became a crucial way of keeping everyone, including himself, focused on what really mattered,” writes Brent Schlender in Becoming Steve Jobs: The Evolution of a Reckless Upstart into a Visionary Leader, a must-add to entrepreneurs’ summer reading lists.

When the transformative Apple CEO put the kibosh on an idea—like the time he mused, in 2003, that people wouldn’t even buy the “Second Coming in a subscription model”—he was often just swatting away distractions.

Jay-Z Joins Puma as President of Basketball Operations

June was a BAWSE month for Hova. In addition to announcing the signings of Deandre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III, and Zhaire Smith, Puma just revealed that Jay-Z will be joining the company as president of basketball operations, right on the heels of the Everything Is Love album release, which just hit Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud.

The Puma position didn’t exactly materialize from nothing: The shoe brand has a been a consistent Tidal promotional partner, and Jay has been known to stunt in Pumas just as consistently. He even collab’d with Puma on a shoe for the 4:44 release, the Jay Z x Puma Clyde.

Words to remember: “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.”
