The Mavs’ Luka Doncic Talks Really Serious Career Goals (Including a Date with Jennifer Aniston)

New Mavs rookie Luka Doncic is setting his bar high. In a recent interview with Bleacher Report‘s Howard Beck, he listed out some pretty extravagant NBA goals. Here are the top three.

1. He wants to dunk on Knicks unicorn and friend Kristaps Porzingis, but acknowledges the feat. He admits, “It would be so hard to posterize him–too big!”

2. Doncic, who sports a bengal tiger tattoo on his forearm, says he intends to purchase a living, breathing version of his feline ink. “I said if I go to the U.S., I will buy a tiger—like Mike Tyson.”

3. And, providing us with a first look into his willingness to shoot from distance, the 19-year-old star says he’d love to go on a date with Jennifer Aniston. “I hear she’s single now… I mean, she’s nice. I just like her.”

Carmelo Anthony Invests in Nobodys Pizza

Even if you think Carmelo Anthony is past his prime, he’s still out here making moves.

Anthony recently invested $5 million in Nobodys Pizza, a chain from the Bronx.

Melo’s not the only NBA player to turn to pizza. Last year, LeBron James invested in Blaze Pizza, an investment now worth $35 million.

On top of that, Melo’s doubling down on sports—his plan is to open up restaurants next to stadiums and arenas across the country.

#Face2FaceTime with Victor Oladipo

#Face2FaceTime is a series in which ONE37pm calls the do-ers, the hustlers and the icons from the worlds of business, culture, music, sports and style. Who should we dial next?

NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo—and winner of Most Improved Player at the 2018 NBA Awards—felt he had one of the worst performances of his career in the Rockets playoff series when he was playing for OKC.

It forced him to look within and transform his regimen to fulfill his potential, which ultimately led him to having one of the best NBA seasons last year on the Indiana Pacers. “If you won’t invest in yourself then obviously no one else is invested in you,” he told our CEO Ryan Harwood.

Oladipo also told Harwood about the one quality he thinks all successful people must have: resilience and the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. “Anybody who’s great in anything is resilient,” Oladipo says.
